1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern your use of the The Advertiser Magazines website (the “Site”) and any listings, advertisements or other material you submit to us. By using the Site you accept these terms in full. If you disagree with any part, please do not use the Site.

2. Use of the website

You may use the Site for lawful purposes only. You must not use it in any way that causes, or may cause, damage to the Site or impairment of its availability or accessibility; or in any way which is unlawful, fraudulent or harmful.

We aim to keep the Site available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access and may suspend the Site for maintenance, updates or other operational reasons.

3. Event listings

Community event listings may be submitted through the online form. Submission does not guarantee publication. All listings are reviewed by the editor before being approved for print and/or online publication.

Listings must be accurate, lawful and relevant to the local community. We reserve the right to edit, refuse or remove any listing at our discretion, including where it exceeds word limits, contains inappropriate content, or is not relevant to the magazine’s readership.

Where a fee applies to a listing or advertisement, payment terms will be agreed before publication. Fees are non-refundable once the listing has been approved and published, unless we have made an error.

4. Advertisements

Advertising space is subject to availability and our current rate card. All advertisements must comply with applicable advertising standards and laws. We may refuse or withdraw advertisements that we consider misleading, offensive or otherwise unsuitable.

5. Intellectual property

The content, design, logos, images and layout of the Site are owned by or licensed to The Advertiser Magazines and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.

By submitting a listing or other material to us, you grant The Advertiser Magazines a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, edit and publish that material in the printed magazines, on the Site, and in related promotional materials. You confirm that you have the right to grant this licence and that the material does not infringe any third-party rights.

6. Accuracy of information

We make every effort to ensure that information on the Site and in the magazines is accurate. However, we do not warrant that any information is complete, reliable or current, and we will not be liable for any errors or omissions in listings or advertisements supplied by third parties.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, The Advertiser Magazines will not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the use of the Site or the publication of any listing or advertisement.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury arising from negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

8. Links to third parties

The Site may include links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of any third-party site.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute arising from them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
